We were seated fairly high up, but still had a good view of the field. Between innings, there was music, dancing, and even a marriage proposal on the big screen. It felt more like a show than just a sports game.

What surprised us most was how sociable it was. You easily get chatting with other fans, you sing along to “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” and before you know it, you’re cheering as if you’ve been a Yankees fan for years.

1. Buy Your Tickets in Advance (and Online!)

The earlier you book, the cheaper it often is. We scored our tickets through a reliable ticket website and saved quite a bit. Look around carefully, especially for games against less well-known teams – prices are usually lower then.

We sat higher up, but still had a good view of the field and a great atmosphere around us. Seats behind home plate are of course top-notch, but you can see everything fine from the upper tier too – and you pay a lot less.

4. Eat a Hot Dog or Pretzel

Yes, it’s expensive. But a hot dog or pretzel is just part of the experience. And honestly: it tastes extra good there.

5. Take the Subway, Not a Taxi

The subway is really the easiest and fastest way to get there. You exit at 161 St – Yankee Stadium, and you walk right in. Saves money and time, especially when it gets crowded on the roads after the game.
