A visit to Chelsea should not be missed during your trip to New York. Chelsea is a trendy neighborhood in the heart of New York. The neighborhood is a composite of townhouses, low-rise condominiums, luxury high-rises and trendy attractions such as High Line, the park on the former railroad tracks above the streets. Chelsea is also a neighborhood where artists and writers feel at home because the neighborhood is home to many art galleries and museums. With its vibrant atmosphere, great restaurants and hip nightlife, Chelsea is a must-visit during your visit to New York.

Chelsea is one of the oldest neighborhoods in New York and many locals live there, making it a fun neighborhood to visit during your visit to New York. In the neighborhood you will find many nice restaurants and coffee shops where you can enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Eating in Chelsea

Whether you are looking for tapas or tacos, the Chelsea neighborhood is a feast for your stomach as there are many restaurants and other eateries for every eater, such as in Chelsea Market on 9th Avenue. This is a former industrial building, which has been transformed into an indoor market. Here you can do your shopping, as well as eat delicious food at the many restaurants.

High Line Park

High Line Park is one of the most famous spots in Chelsea. And a visit to this park should not be missed during your visit to New York. This elevated rail line is a green walking trail with great views of the Chelsea neighborhood. The line runs across the old loading dock of the former Nabisco factory, where you now find the eateries and stores of Chelsea Market. The High Line runs from Meatpacking District, through Chelsea, to Hudson Yards.

Hudson Yards

At the end of High Line park is Hudson Yards, a beautiful new neighborhood north of Chelsea. Here you will find the Vessel and The Edge Observation Deck, among others. At the seven-story shopping mall The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards, you can store and eat fair food at the nice restaurants.

Little Island

Little Island is New York’s newest urban park with amazing views of Manhattan.Little Island is a unique floating urban park above the Hudson River. Little Island is a wonderful place to just relax and walk around. The best view of Little Island is from the adjacent Pier 57. Here, take the elevator to the top floor to visit the Pier 57 Rooftop Park. At 2 acres in size, this rooftop park is one of the largest free rooftop parks in the city. On the bottom floor of this building you will also find a food market, the Market 57 where you can get a fresh lunch, then take it to the park for a picnic.
